JOHNSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — The Rhode Island Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is seeking the public’s help in tracking down the owners of a dog who was abandoned in Johnston earlier this month.

The organization said Moses was brought to them Monday by North Providence Animal Control.

Moses is extremely emaciated, having been abandoned on or around August 7 in the parking lot of PetSmart on Atwood Avenue.

The RISPCA is now doing everything they can to nurse Moses back to health.

The organization is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of the person responsible.

Anyone with information about Moses’ owner is asked to call the RISPCA at (401) 438-8150.
