ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — Police in Attleboro are asking the public to help identify a man wanted for questioning in a check fraud scheme.

Officers posted to their Twitter account surveillance images from the Bank of America ATM at Bristol Place on Newport Avenue in South Attleboro, showing a man with his t-shirt pulled up over his nose and wearing dark sunglasses.

A victim reported a debit card and PIN stolen in Pawtucket, and their Bank of America account was used to make fraudulent check transactions, according to the Attleboro Sun Chronicle. The incident happened in May, but the victim reported the theft last month.

The suspect is believed to be dark-skinned, with short-cropped hair as well as facial hair, and a half-sleeve tattoo on his right arm.

Anyone with information about the suspect is asked to call police at (774) 203-1803, or to email Det. Matt Cook at mcook@attleboropolice.org.
