In the Kitchen: Deep-Fried, Pub-Style Veggie Burger

Head Chef, Daniel Hultquist of Ogies Trailer Park, joined The Rhode Show Wednesday to make their Deep-Fried, Pub-Style Veggie Burger.

Ingredients:
1 yellow onion
2 jalapeno peppers
3 cloves fresh garlic
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons chili powder
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups Panko bread crumbs
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 1/2 cups cooked red kidney beans
1 1/2 cups cooked chick peas

Deep Fried Veggie Burger

Method:
1) Mix all ingredients except cheese and bread crumbs in food processor.
2) Fold in cheese and Panko, lay mixture on sheet tray uncovered and refrigerate.
3) Form cooled mixture into patties and deep fry at 350 degrees until golden brown. 4) Serve with desired toppings and condiments.
