Shots fired into car on Wrentham highway

WRENTHAM, Mass. (WPRI) — Massachusetts State Police are investigating after a car was shot up on a highway in Wrentham.

Police said a shooter fired several bullets into a car traveling southbound on Route 495 just before 11 p.m. Tuesday

Two Massachusetts men were inside, and the preliminary investigation suggests it was not a random shooting, according to police.

Police believe the shots came from a second car, but said the two men were not able to provide a description.

Investigators processed the car that was fired upon and collected ballistics evidence as they continue to investigate.

The two men were not injured in the incident. Right now, there’s no word on any suspects.
