Cops: 1 injured in Providence shooting

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Providence police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured.

According to police, an 18-year-old man was shot around 4 p.m. Saturday. The incident took plan on the corner of Plainfield and Pocasett Streets.

Police said the shooting happened after an altercation and the victim was shot in the leg.

He was taken to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police confirmed two suspects were taken into custody for questioning.
