PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Rhode Island State Police say two men have been arrested for possessing more than 1,500 oxycodone pills.

Police say 31-year-old Edgar O. Alicea-DeJesus, of the Bronx, New York and 31-year-old Abdiel Pinto, of New Britain, Connecticut were arrested Tuesday on Interstate 95 in West Greenwich, Rhode Island after being stopped for speeding.

Alicea-DeJesus, who was driving, consented to a search of the car and troopers found an air tank with a trap door. Police say they seized 1,585 oxycodone pills worth an estimated $47,550 in total.

It’s unclear if the men are represented by lawyers. Both were held pending their arraignment.

Pinto, the passenger, is also wanted under an alias on a bench warrant from Newport County Superior Court for failure to appear, according to police.
