GROTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Groton police are asking for your help identifying a man they say stole a bottle of wine valued at $4,800 from a restaurant, our sister station WTNH reports.

At about 2:15 p.m. Monday, investigators believe the man pictured above left the Octagon Steakhouse on Route 117 with a bottle of 1990 Chateau Petrus; a rare wine that sells for thousands.

Workers at the restaurant noticed that the bottle was missing shortly after the suspect was seen leaving the area where the bottle was kept.

Groton police posted surveillance video of the suspect on their Facebook page.

If you recognize the person in the photo, or if you have any information that could help Groton police in their investigation, you’re asked to give them a call at 860-441-6712.
