Edgewood Cheese Shop and Eatery brings us Chef Adrienne D’Arconte to make dried candied orange slices to build a fall-themed cheese board.
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Mix sugar and water on stove until sugar is fully dissolved.
Slice orange into thin slices discarding the ends.
Put slices into syrup and turn off heat. Let sit for 15 minutes.
Drain slices and place onto sheet pan covered with parchment paper.
Bake in a low oven (170) turning slices midway.
Bake for 3-4 hours until slices are dried.
