PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP/WPRI) — A Woonsocket man authorities say regularly drove to Texas and Florida to obtain cocaine and heroin that he brought back to New England to sell has pleaded guilty to federal drug and gun charges.
Federal prosecutors say Miguel Colon is scheduled to be sentenced in January following his guilty plea in U.S. District Court in Providence on Wednesday.

As the Target 12 Investigators first reported, the 55-year-old Colon was arrested in North Attleborough, Massachusetts, in April while returning from one of his drug runs.
Police found three kilograms of cocaine, a pound of marijuana and a loaded gun inside a sophisticated hydraulically-controlled hidden compartment in his vehicle. Investigators also found almost 900 grams of heroin in storage lockers he rented, as well as drug ledgers in his home.
Colon remains in federal custody.
