FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — If anyone watched the prime time game Thursday night between the Jaguars and Titans, you can expect similar measures to be in place at Gillette Stadium on Monday night.
Fans were screened with metal detector wands, and K-9’s were on the stadium grounds.
Authorities are taking a similar approach, as the Patriots play at Gillette for the first time since the Paris attacks.
Foxboro police said fans will have to be aware and do their part.
“If a fan sees something that’s out of place, its really critical to let law enforcement know or let security know,” said Chief Edward O’Leary. “Whether its suspicious material or suspicious activity, so that we can at least have the opportunity to check it out.”
If you are headed to the game, the NFL will strictly enforce their bag policy, which calls for any bag brought to the stadium to be see-through.
