Police investigating shots fired situations in Providence, Cranston

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Police are investigating after shots were fired at a home on Prairie Avenue in Providence.

According to police, a car with two people inside fired at least one shot into the front of the home before taking off just after 10 a.m. Friday.

The home has been shot at before, according to police, and investigators said they have a suspect in mind.

Police were also dispatched to a report of shots fired in the area of Pleasant Street in Cranston.

According to Col. Mickael Winquist of the Cranston Police Department, shots rang out around 4:08 a.m. Friday.

Two bullet casings were recovered at the intersection of Frankfort and Pleasant Streets.

There is no word on whether the two situations are connected.
