Tie One on for Safety campaign kicks off

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. (WPRI) – Mothers Against Drunk Driving and the police department are teaming up for another holiday campaign to aimed at preventing people from drunk driving.

The Central Falls Police Department and MADD announced the “Tie One on for Safety” campaign on Friday.

The holidays are a time for celebrating, but it’s important for people to do so carefully. MADD and police officers want to remind people about the dangers of drunk driving. The key points of the campaign are centered around putting safety before partying and designating a driver before attending events.

Community members are encouraged to take part in the Tie One on for Safety campaign, by keeping a red ribbon on their vehicle, practicing safe party hosting techniques, and by sharing their participation on social media.
