FOXBORO, Mass. (WPRI) — It was a one-two punch for the Patriots Sunday night when shortly after Rob Gronkowski was carted off the field in Denver, the team lost its first game of the season.

While the loss remains in the books, reports Monday indicate Tom Brady’s go-to guy may not have been as seriously hurt as first feared.

According to NFL Network Reporter Ian Rapoport, an MRI revealed the tight end has a minor knee strain.

ESPN Reporter Adam Schefter said Gronk could be out a week or two

Even better news for Patriots fans, Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman are also on the mend.

With the Patriots’ loss, the Carolina Panthers are now the only remaining undefeated team this season.
