PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police have charged one of the suspects wanted in connection with a break-in at a home on Dawson Street.

According to Pawtucket police, two people broke into the home last week – after the residents were displaced by a fire.

Officials said flames were shooting out of the home when crews arrived around 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 8. The homeowner escaped from the house uninjured and she was able to get two of her dogs out of the fire as well.

After fire crews left the area, investigators returned to the scene to find that the house had been broken into.

Police released surveillance photos last week of two people believed to be involved in the break-in.

Sergeant Paul Brandley of the Pawtucket Police Department told Eyewitness News Monday that one of the suspects, identified as Tina Brzoza, turned herself in on Saturday.

Brzoza, 28, is charged with receiving stolen goods and conspiracy to commit breaking and entering, according to police.

Pawtucket police said the male suspect pictured in the photos is still at large.

Anyone with information should contact the Pawtucket Police Department.
