MARION, Mass. (WPRI) — Massachusetts State Police are investigating the cause of a rollover crash in Marion that left one person dead and four other people hurt.
Troopers were called to I-195 in the area of Exit 20 at about 6:45 a.m Wednesday for reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Police say a preliminary investigation revealed a 2006 Ford Econovan was traveling east when the driver lost control. The vehicle rolled over and collided with a pickup truck.
One man in the van was killed, according to police. Three other passengers were taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment. Another victim was taken to Tobey Hospital in Wareham but was later flown to a hospital in Boston.
Police have not yet released the names of those involved. They said the investigation is ongoing.
