Providence, RI – The Premier Basketball League (PBL) recently announced the Providence Sky Chiefs have joined the league as its latest expansion team for the upcoming 2016 season.
The Providence Sky Chiefs, Rhode Island’s first professional basketball team in nearly three decades, completed a successful inaugural season in 2014-15.
The RI based team won several titles, including Surf Classic in San Diego, CA., a regional championship and the 2015 BENRUS Pro Basketball Championship.
The Sky Chiefs will make its debut in the PBL on Sunday, Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. when the team hosts the New England Shamrocks out of Boston at Johnson & Wales Wildcat Center, 8 Abbott Park Place, Providence, RI.
Tickets to the Sky Chiefs season opener on Jan. 10 at 6 p.m. can be purchased on game day at the JWU Wildcat Center.
