Burrillville father and son facing assault, drug charges

BURRILLVILLE, R.I. (WPRI) — A father and son from Burrillville are facing charges following a violent incident early Monday morning.

Police responded to a reported stabbing at a home on Log Road and arrived to find a man suffering from three knife wounds and another suffering from blunt force trauma to the head and face.

The stabbing victim, identified by police as Daniel Quebec, and his father, Bruce Quebec, were taken to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.

As a result of their investigation, police subsequently arrested both men.

Officers seized 8 pounds of marijuana and packaging materials from the home, along with 27 firearms and three crossbows, according to police.

Quebec, 31, was charged with domestic felony assault, domestic assault on a person over 60 and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

The elder Quebec, 61, was charged with domestic felony assault with a dangerous weapon.

Both men were arraigned and released on $20,000 personal recognizance and a no-contact order was issued.
