Police searching for bank robbery suspect

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Pawtucket Police are searching for the suspect responsible for the robbery of a TD Bank Branch.

The suspect reportedly entered the bank on Central Avenue Monday afternoon, approached the teller, and demanded money. Police said the suspect did not show a weapon but did threaten to shoot the teller if money was not handed over. The employee handed over money and the suspect ran across the bank’s parking lot towards Kenyon Avenue.

Police described the suspect as a black man around 40 to 50 years old with a dark colored beard or goatee. He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt with white fur lining, a black open-faced mask, white sneakers, and a white baseball hat with no logo on it.
