Portsmouth man sentenced for selling unapproved cancer remedies

PORTSMOUTH, R.I. (WPRI) – A Portsmouth man who pleaded guilty to selling millions of dollars in unapproved cancer remedies has learned his punishment.

The owner of “Daniel Chapter One,” James Feijo, was sentenced Tuesday to six months in federal prison, followed by 6 months home confinement.

Feijo pleaded guilty last September to distributing products, not approved by the FDA, and failing to pay more than $218,000 in employment taxes.

The Target 12 Investigators previously discovered the indictment was the a link to a 7-year legal battle between the Feijos and the federal government.
