WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The head of the agency that runs T.F. Green has stepped down after less than three years on the job.
Kelly Fredericks resigned as President and CEO of the Rhode Island Airport Corporation Wednesday night, according to spokesperson Patti Doyle. Peter Frazier, who previously served as the corporation’s interim president, will again temporarily take over until a permanent replacement is found.
Fredericks is leaving to take a similar job in California, Doyle said.
Warwick Mayor Scott Avedisian praised Fredericks’ work Thursday.
“I attribute the strong working relationship between the City and the RIAC in large part to Kelly and his team,” Avedisian said in a news release. “Their efforts to listen to the city’s concerns and work cooperatively with us over the years have been paramount to the airport’s rising success.”
Fredericks was appointed RIAC’s President and CEO in February 2013.
