New Bedford Police looking for suspect in armed robbery at 7-Eleven

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — New Bedford Police are trying to track down a man in connection to an armed robbery at a 7-Eleven store.

Police said the incident happened around 11 p.m. Saturday at the 7-Eleven on 1024 Cove Road.

The employee told police that a man came into the store and demanded cash.

According to a police report, the employee said the man held a silver firearm and told the clerk he “wasn’t kidding.”

Police said the alleged robber took off with an unreported amount of money.

While vague, police describe the suspect as a dark skinned male, last seen wearing dark dark clothing, a black mask and black hat.
