Friars climb to #10 in latest basketball polls

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — The Providence College men’s basketball team is ranked No. 10 in the Associated Press Poll and No. 10 in the most recent USA Today Coaches Poll. Both polls were released Monday (Jan. 25). It marks the ninth consecutive week that the Friars have been ranked in the national polls. The Friars had the biggest rise of any team this week in the Coaches Poll as they went from No. 17 last week to No. 10 this week.

The Friars have posted a 17-3 mark overall and a 5-2 record in BIG EAST play. Providence will return to action on Tuesday, Jan. 26 when it host No. 7/8 Xavier at 8:30 p.m. on Fox Sports 1.
