WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Sam’s Club members at three local spots were supposed to have until Friday to shop before the stores closed up forever. However, a change has been made.
According to a Walmart spokesperson Tara Raddohl, the stores in Seekonk, Warwick, and Fall River are now closed. Earlier in the day, the spokesperson told Eyewitness News Tuesday, February 2 would be the last day the stores would be open.
Raddohl said even though the clubs are closed, Members can still pick up any pharmacy or pre-ordered items, such as cakes or bakery items, through the end of the week.
The sudden change appears to be the result of an extremely limited amount of merchandise available for purchase.
