NEW YORK (AP) — A funeral has been held for a man killed by a falling construction crane while he walked down a New York City street.
Wall Street worker David Wichs was praised for his good deeds during his funeral Sunday at a synagogue on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.
Wichs died Friday. He was a mathematics whiz who worked at a computerized-trading firm.
Relatives have said Wichs was born in Prague, moved to the United States as a teenager and graduated from Harvard University.
City officials say it could take weeks to determine why the crane came crashing down while it was being lowered during strong winds.
