Firefighters respond to same residence twice in one night

TIVERTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Firefighters battling a big fire in Fall River where one man was killed, faced some complications Sunday night because one of the city’s ladder trucks was already in use in Tiverton.

Firefighters were called to a home on Bluebird Drive in Tiverton around 2:30 a.m. Monday. It was the second time firefighters responded to the residence.

They were first called to Bluebird Drive for a chimney fire around 6 p.m. on Sunday. Two people were displaced by that initial fire.

Right now, it’s not clear if that first fire flared back up or if it is a separate incident.
