We see it in the news every day. Natural disasters that destroy property and lives, displacing people from their homes and families.
Massive floods in Texas and South Carolina were the most recent examples of tragic devastation, but there were many more. In fact, last year alone there were more than 176 large disasters in the U.S., and the American Red Cross was there at each event providing help and shelter to the victims.
We spoke with Barbara Hannah Grufferman, Author of: The Best of Everything After 50, to understand some timely information about the needs and the impact of so many disasters and how we can get involved through the #StitchAHug Campaign to benefit disaster.
