In the Kitchen: Bibimbap

Chef Nick Rabar from Avenue N American Kitchen joined The Rhode Show Tuesday to make Bibimbap.

1 cup Jasmine Rice
8 oz. Steak, thinly sliced
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Sugar
1/8 cup Rice Wine
1 tsp. Garlic
1 ea. Carrot, Julienne, steamed
1 ea. Red Pepper, julienne, steamed
1 bunch Scallion
1 ea. Pac Choi
4 Tablespoons Gochuchang
1 Tablespoon Sugar
2 teaspoons Sesame Oil
1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
2 ea. Eggs

Combine soy, sugar, rice wine, garlic and marinate steak for 20 minutes.

Combine Gochuchang, sugar, sesame oil and seeds.

Bring Rice to boil in 2.25 cups of water and then stir and reduce to a simmer. Cook until liquid dissolves, cover, reserve.

In a hot wok or sauté pan sear beef until cooked.

Fry egg in hot oil until it is crispy and sunny.

Plate beef, carrots, peppers, pac choi, scallions over rice and top with egg, Garnish with sesame seeds and gochuchang sauce.
