Twin River employee attacked, robbed by two men

LINCOLN, R.I. (WPRI) — Lincoln police are working to identify a trio of suspects after a Twin River employee was assaulted and robbed in the casino’s parking lot over the weekend.

According to police, the employee was walking to his vehicle in the south parking lot at about 3 a.m. Sunday when he was attacked. Police said two men exited a dark-colored sedan – possibly a Nissan Maxima or a similar vehicle – and ran up behind the employee, knocked him to the ground and started punching and kicking him.

The suspects made off with a portable radio, according to police.

The victim described the first suspect as a well-dress black man, possibly wearing a blazer, standing approximately 6 feet tall with a thin build and short hair. The second suspect was described as a white man standing approximately 5-foot-10 with a medium build and long brown hair, possibly in dreadlocks, and wearing a dark-colored jacket and light-colored pants.

Police said a third suspect drove the sedan over to the scene of the assault, picked up the two assault suspects and drove off.

The victim was treated for his injuries on scene by fire and rescue personnel, according to police.

Prior to the assault, police said the suspects were seen walking through the parking lot and looking into vehicles.

Anyone with information about the suspects or the incident is asked to contact Lincoln Police Detectives at (401) 333-1111.
