NARRAGANSETT, R.I. (WPRI) — A Narragansett man faced a judge Tuesday, accused of secretly videotaping a 17-year-old girl while she was in the shower.
After receiving complaints about Jeffrey Sidelinger, detectives executed a search warrant at his Twin Leaf Trail home on March 3, according to the police report obtained by Eyewitness News.
Police said they found Sidelinger had placed a micro, motion-activated camera in his bathroom for the purpose of filming another person without their consent.
Narragansett Police Lt. Matthew Sutton confirmed the alleged victim is not a relative of Sidelinger but could not say if she lived at the home or why she was showering there.
Sidelinger, 53, was arrested on one count of video voyeurism. He was arraigned Tuesday, released on $2,000 personal recognizance and ordered to stay away from the victim.
The incident remains under investigation.
