FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — It’s not out of the ordinary to find animals fighting inside a pet store, but it was a different story in Fall River over the weekend.

According to the police report obtained by Eyewitness News, an argument Saturday night over the proper care of lizards and snakes at Jurassic Jungle on East Main Street took a violent turn.

Police said James Dugan-Weeks, 28, pinned a man up against the wall, holding him by his neck and threatening to “snap it and kill him.”

Dugan-Weeks’ brother, Allen Weeks, 30, also got involved in the fight. According to the report, things escalated to the point where the victim told police he “thought he was going to die,” and “didn’t think he was going to make it out of the store alive.”

Police said two other victims became involved in the brawl and one of the suspects reportedly spat in a woman’s face.

The victims were all treated at a nearby hospital.

The two brothers are due in court later this week on multiple charges, including kidnapping and assault with a dangerous weapon, according to police.

The owner of the store declined to comment on the incident.
