WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — After a hitch in travel plans, the Providence College men’s basketball team is finally headed to North Carolina for the first round of the NCAA Tournment.
The team was planning to take a charter flight out of TF Green Airport at 2 p.m. Tuesday. However, according to Peter Frasier at Rhode Island Airport Corporation, there was an issue with the private security screening that is required for a charter of that size.
