Fall River cops arrest 4 teens in stabbing outside Talbot Middle School

FALL RIVER, Mass. (WPRI) — Four teens are facing several charges in connection with an assault and stabbing that occurred Monday outside Talbot Middle School.

Police arrested Charles Brothers, 18, and three other juveniles – ages 13, 16 and 17 – in connection with the crime. Arrest warrants have been requested for an additional two juveniles, ages 14 and 17.

Investigators say the group confronted a man as he was driving in the area of Melrose and Stone Streets.

Police said the man got out of his car and the group surrounded him. He fell to the ground after being struck from behind and police said the group then continued to kick the man.

During the attack, the victim was stabbed four times before the group fled the scene. The man was taken to the hospital where, according to police, he was last listed in serious but stable condition.

Brothers and the three juveniles in custody were charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing substantial injury; assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot); affray; and trespass.
