Embezzlement suspect surrenders to police

BRISTOL, R.I. (WPRI) — A woman accused of embezzling thousands of dollars has turned herself in to police in Bristol.

Authorities say Corey Delekta, 34, of Pawtucket allegedly stole large amounts of money from an equipment rental company in Bristol. She worked there as an office manager for about two years. Additionally, she is accused of taking thousands of dollars from the U.S. Soccer Association by using credit card information. In all, authorities sat she embezzled more than $120,000.

She is expected to be arraigned on April 5.
