Q&A: Increased security at airports, Boston Marathon

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — With the terror attack in Brussels still fresh on people’s minds, U.S. officials are meeting Wednesday to implement a plan to increase security at airports around the country, including T.F. Green.

In the above video, Eyewitness News Analyst Lt. Gen. Reginald Centracchio discusses those plans, as well as the security for this month’s Boston Marathon.

The general says increasing TSA agents will not be a quick fix.

He also sheds light on how Iraq forces are taking control of the city of Mossul from ISIS.

Reginald Centracchio (ret.) served as Adjutant General of Rhode Island and Commanding General of the Rhode Island National Guard from 1995 until his retirement in 2005. During his tenure, he served as Director of the Rhode Island Emergency Managment Agency and as Rhode Island Homeland Security Advisor – becoming the first Adjutant General to hold all three positions simultaneously.
