Dozens of Stop & Shop workers rally over benefits

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Dozens of Stop and Shop workers rallied outside the Providence location on West River Road Wednesday afternoon. Providence Mayor Elorza was also there.

The group is calling on the grocery store’s parent company, “Ahold,” to stop its threatened cuts to benefits and offer fair wages for its employees throughout New England.
