Police: No criminal behavior in Cranston woman’s death

CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Cranston police are no longer investigating the death of a city woman initially thought to have been suspicious.

Police responded to a home in the area of Auburn and South Clarendon Streets Sunday morning. An area resident said police were investigating at the home for almost 12 hours.

Major Todd Patalano confirmed the 34-year-old’s death on Tuesday but said the state medical examiner determined her cause of death was not suspicious in any way.

After no criminal behavior was found, Patalano said the case is being closed.
