In the Kitchen: Signature Breakfast Sandwich

Go Providence has brought in Chef Kaitlyn Roberts from The Cafe at Easy Entertaining, making a Signature Breakfast Sandwich.

1 lb. of boneless pork shoulder, pre-ground
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 tsp fresh thyme
1 tsp fresh sage
2 tbsp oil for cooking
salt and pepper to taste
English muffin or bagel
1-2 farm fresh eggs

For sausage: Combine all ingredients until thoroughly mixed. Divide into six equal pieces and patties. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium high heat. Sear patties 2-3 minutes per side, finish cooking in oven if necessary, to avoid burning. Internal temperature should reach 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
