REHOBOTH, Mass. (WPRI) — A Seekonk woman was arrested in Rehoboth Monday morning after police said she was driving under the influence of drugs with her 10-year-old son in the passenger seat.
Rehoboth police said they received a report of an erratic driver in the area of Barney Avenue at about 10 a.m. The car was soon spotted by a detective and pulled over on Summer Street.
After a roadside investigation and field sobriety test, police said it was determined the driver was operating under the influence. Tabitha Carter, 39, was taken into custody.
Carter was released on $1,040 bail, according to police. She’s scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday on charges of operating under the influence of drugs with child endangerment and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
