West Warwick police search for suspected child molester

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — Police in West Warwick are asking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspected child molester.

Paulo Correia, 45, is charged with first-degree child molestation and sexual assault. He’s been on the run since 2010. Although an exhaustive search has been completed (to include U.S. Marshals), he has yet to be apprehended.

Police said there is a chance Correia has fled the United States to The Azores. His previous job was as a fence installer.

His appearance may have changed. But, police said he has an arm-band tattoo on his upper right arm.
