Woman dies after being struck by duck boat in Boston

BOSTON (AP) — A woman has died after she was struck by a duck boat in downtown Boston.

The crash happened around 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Beacon and Charles streets.

A Boston Police Department spokeswoman said the woman was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Boston Police Commissioner Bill Evans told WCVB-TV the woman had died.

It wasn’t immediately clear whether passengers were on the bus when the crash happened.

A Boston Duck Tours spokesman didn’t immediately return a message seeking comment.

There’s no word on the cause of the crash.

No further details were immediately available.
