WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — A Bryant University student faced a judge Monday after police found a variety of drugs in his dorm room.
According to police, Zachary Holt was found to be in possession of marijuana, cocaine, LSD, hash oil, a digital scale, packaging materials and more than $2,500 in cash.
Holt, 22, of Newton, Mass., was arraigned on a charge of possession with intent to deliver. His bail was set at $25,000 with surety and he was ordered to undergo a substance abuse assessment.
The judge said it was “very sad” to have a Bryant student in front of her and for his parents to “have to see their son in handcuffs.”
Holt signed a waiver of extradition since he will be kicked out of school and have to go back to Massachusetts.
