Warwick PD: Dozens of car break-ins reported

WARWICK, R.I. (WPRI) — The Warwick Police Department is warning residents to lock their cars at night after an uptick in car break-ins were reported.

According to the department’s Facebook page, the Cowessett neighborhood was hit hard Sunday night and 33 incidents were reported Monday morning. Officials said it is likely that more incidents went unreported.

Police are urging all residents to lock their doors and remove any items of value from their vehicles. They are also planning to release surveillance video of one incident.
