Police make swift arrest after teen reports suspicious man

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WPRI) — Police made a swift arrest after a teenager in Central Falls reported a suspicious man who tried to entice her in his vehicle.

The incident happened in the area of Broad and Exchange Streets around 8:30 a.m. on Monday.

Police said the male followed the youth in his vehicle. The girl ran and quickly called police with a description of the vehicle. The victim remembered the license plate and said the vehicle was a 2001 green Honda Accord with four doors.

Shortly after, Central Falls police found the vehicle and the suspect. Police identified him as 31-year-old Samuel Hernandez-Calderon.

Hernandez-Calderon was charged by Pawtucket Police with disorderly conduct.
