Armed with pink stun gun, man robs Fairhaven store

FAIRHAVEN, Mass. (WPRI) — A man wearing a black mask and bandana used a brightly-colored weapon to rob a convenience store Sunday night, Fairhaven police said.

The robbery happened around 10:30 p.m. at Jackson’s Variety Store on Sconticut Neck Road. According to Fairhaven police, the store owner said the suspect, whom he described as a 5-foot-7-inch-tall slim black man, threatened him with a pink stun gun. The owner handed over cash, and the robber ran from the store.

Police said someone reported a suspicious, dark-colored Chevy Trailblazer parked outside a home near Jackson’s Variety around the same time as the robbery. An eyewitness saw a tall black man get out of the SUV, walk away, return a short time later and drive off, police said.
