Convenience store robbed with stun gun

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) – Police are looking for help identifying the man who robbed the Brock Ave. Variety store Wednesday night.

The suspect walked into the store at 9:30 pm and activated a stun gun demanding all the money in the cash register.

The 24-year-old clerk opened it and gave all the money to the suspect who then fled the store.

The clerk was not hurt.

Police say the suspect is described as a think black male, approximately 5ft. 6 inches tall and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and mask.

New Bedford Police say Fairhaven had a similar robbery over the past weekend and will be reaching out them.
