Another Massachusetts store robbed with stun gun

NEW BEDFORD, Mass. (WPRI) — New Bedford police are investigating another robbery committed with a stun gun.

Police said a man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a mask over his face walked into the Prime Energy gas station on Rockdale Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Monday. He pulled out a stun gun and threatened the clerk with it. Police said the robber grabbed cash and cigarettes, then ran out the door. The clerk was not hurt.

Police described the suspect as a short black man in his 20s with a light to medium build.

A suspect with a similar description used a stun gun to rob the Brock Ave. Variety store in New Bedford last week. A man armed with a pink stun gun robbed a store in Fairhaven on May 15.
