Police: Man arrested in Massachusetts fled charges in Ohio

BOSTON (AP) — State Police say they’ve arrested a man who fled Ohio while facing domestic assault and narcotics charges.

Police say 47-year-old Richard Holivay, whose last known address is Providence, Rhode Island, was taken into custody by troopers on Route 195 in Swansea, Massachusetts, on Thursday morning.

Police say Holivay left Ohio while facing domestic assault and narcotics charges and a warrant for his arrest was issued out of Cuyahoga County, Ohio, in October.

Troopers stopped his car and arrested him without incident.

Police say prosecutors in Bristol County will arrange for Holivay’s rendition to Ohio.

Records at the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court show that an attorney had not yet been assigned to his case.
