PROVIDENCE, R.I (WPRI) — The expansion of the Community Preparatory School broke ground today in Providence.
The $5 million project is a part of the private school’s Reach! campaign to expand educational opportunities for inner-city kids.
In a news release, Mayor Elorza said the project was about “constructing a complex that’s going to span this road and connect to the community to expand kids opportunities to grow, to play and to learn.”
Construction will include new administrative offices, student work-space, classrooms and a community room. It is expected to be finished in January.
