PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — A hearing with the Board of Licenses has been pushed back for Lovera VIP nightclub in Providence.

The hearing was rescheduled for next Thursday at the request of the club located at 1280 Broad Street.

A hearing was called after a brawl took place last Saturday night.

According to police, a civilian told an on-duty officer working on Broad Street about the situation. Upon arrival, police saw several fights taking place in the parking lot and noticed more fighting inside. Two people were arrested after the area was cleared.

Lovera VIP will need to have a police detail each night now that they are open until the time of the hearing.
