Carando gives back to the community

(WPRI) — Local company Carando is teaming up with Market Basket to support the community.

The company, known for its classic Italian meats, made a $1,000 donation to the Boys and Girls Club of Plymouth through its organization “Carando Cares”

Paul Quigley of Market Basket presented the check during the grand opening celebration of the New England-based retailer’s newest location in Plymouth.

The donation will support direct services programs for the youth, and will help maintain affordable memberships.

Carando Cares, which works to support organizations that benefit the community in a positive way, has made more than $250,000 in monetary and in-kind donations since the program’s inception.

You can get more information on Carando and Carando Cares, on the Carando Facebook page.
